Jesse Robertson-Dubois

New England Director

Jesse Robertson-DuBois previously served as AFT's New England Field Representative from 2004 to 2007, when he worked on state policy and municipal planning for agriculture efforts in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. Prior to that he conducted research and wrote technical analyses of farmland protection and economic development policies and programs with AFT's Farmland Information Center.

Jesse left AFT to gain a greater hands-on appreciation of both the opportunities and challenges facing agriculture, co-managing Holiday Brook Farm in Dalton, MA with the owners and his wife. During his time there, the farm greatly expanded a small vegetable CSA and added beef, pork and sheep enterprises for retail, farmer's market and CSA customers in addition to pre-existing hay, maple syrup, firewood and composting businesses. He previously was also a partner in Crabapple Farm, which continues to produce vegetables and meats under his brother and sister-in-law's management, and he formerly served on the board of Hilltown Land Trust and as chair of the Dalton Farm and Forest Commission. More recently Jesse provided leadership in refocusing and reallocating resources to support core organizational and staff strengths as executive director for Medway Community Farm in Medway, MA, and provided property and operations management for Undermountain Farm in Lenox, MA. He lives with his family at Chestnut Hill Farm in Southborough, MA, where his wife manages a vegetable CSA for the Trustees of Reservations.

Jesse is based out of AFT's Northampton, MA office. He can be reached at jrobertson@farmland.org and at 413-586-4593, x 15, or at 413-358-1572.
