Hudson Valley Field Representative

Liz Brock joined American Farmland Trust in the winter of 2006 to lead AFT’s policy and educational efforts in the Hudson Valley region of New York. She is currently consulting on a green infrastructure plan for Saratoga County and working in Albany on legislative efforts critical to the future of agriculture in the region. She looks forward to helping local communities in the Hudson Valley region design and implement town-wide agriculture and farmland protection plans in the near future.

Brock has a B.S. in Animal Science from the University of New Hampshire and a M.S. in Soil Science from Cornell University. She was the assistant herdsperson on a small dairy farm and a project assistant for a biosolids land application firm prior to joining AFT. She is a member of the American Society of Agronomy and the Soil Science Society of America. Her master's research has been published in Soil Science.

Brock is a native of New Hampshire and though she now resides in New York, she remains a faithful New England sports fan.
