As a key component of our strategy to bring various segments and leaders of agriculture into the discussion about future farm policy, AFT held meetings with over 400 farmers, ranchers, agricultural leaders and policy experts from throughout the United States to gather insights and ideas on farm policy change. These ideas were used to develop AFT's Agenda 2007: A New Framework and Direction for U.S. Farm Policy [PDF].
The workshops have been collected in one publication "U.S. Agricultural Policy and the 2007 Farm Bill: Promoting the Economic Resilience and Conserving the Ecological Integrity of American Farmlands" [PDF]. |
