Manager, Institutional Giving
Greg Plotkin has been with American Farmland Trust since 2007, helping to raise foundation, corporate and government funding to support local and national farm and ranch land protection projects.
Plotkin grew up working on a vineyard in Connecticut’s Farmington Valley, where he had an early introduction to farmland preservation when the vineyard’s development rights were sold to the town of Simsbury, assuring that the farm would remain in agriculture forever. He cites this experience for making him aware of the importance of spreading the farmland protection message across the nation.
Before joining AFT, Plotkin worked at the farmers market in Washington, D.C.’s Dupont Circle, selling everything from goat cheese pirogues to organic cheddar curds. He holds a B.S. in political science from The George Washington University.
