Julius King joined American Farmland Trust’s finance operations in 2001, where he serves as a staff accountant. On a personal level, he supports farmland preservation because it encourages healthy farming practices and greater control of food supplies through reliance on locally grown foods rather than imports.
King grew up in Africa on an organic farm that his family still owns. He earned a B.A. in accounting from Strayer University in Virginia and worked at the National Alliance for Model State Drug Laws prior to his employment at AFT.
