MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR
Erica Goodman joined American Farmland Trust in 2011 as Marketing & Communications Coordinator. She previously spent three years with the United States Golf Association, assisting in the administration of grant funding and working in media and online communications for national initiatives. She has served as a cooperative extension intern in Washington County, New York, and has volunteered with the School Food Project in Boulder, Colorado.
At American Farmland Trust, Goodman’s primary responsibilities include managing the monthly e-news program and the Farmland Report blog, providing marketing support, and working with field staff and regional offices to fulfill their communication needs.
Having grown up on her family’s small dairy farm in Washington County, Goodman is passionate about a healthy future for our nation’s farms and local food systems. She credits her family’s Goodmanor Farm for helping her gain an understanding about the true value of hard work and selflessness that is inherent in agriculture. Goodman graduated magna cum laude from Middlebury College with a B.A. in American Civilization and Literature and also holds an M.A. in Mass Communication Research from the University of Colorado at Boulder where her graduate work focused on the implications of information communication technology access for young adults in rural communities.
