Manager of Institutional Giving

Christine Harris joined American Farmland Trust in 2011 as Manager of Institutional Giving. In this role, she supports activities that increase and broaden financial support for the organization from U.S. government agencies and private foundations. 

Harris has more than 25 years of experience in corporate marketing and nonprofit fundraising. Her work over the last 12 years in Washington, D.C., has focused on grant writing and foundation relations for large and small nonprofit groups. These include The Wilderness Society and Conservation International. Her prior experience in the corporate sector focused on technical proposals for environmental and engineering consulting firms.

Harris is an annual vacationer to Adirondack Park in New York state, a six-million-acre testament to the wisdom of wilderness protection and robust environmental stewardship. She holds a B.S. degree in journalism from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
