Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer

As CFO and COO, Victoria Edwards is responsible for finance, administration and information technology and helps coordinate operations throughout the organization. She also staffs the American Farmland Trust board of directors’ finance and audit committees and serves as the board’s assistant treasurer, a board officer position. She joined the staff in 2000 and considers farmland an invaluable resource, commenting, “Once it’s gone, it’s gone.” In addition to her work responsibilities, Edwards is a member of the Environmental CFO Roundtable.

Prior to joining American Farmland Trust, she built an extensive career in financial and business management that includes 20 years with Kaiser Permanente, first as assistant comptroller, manager of membership and patient accounting, and director of financial planning for the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, and then as business administrator and vice president of finance for Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group.

Edwards earned a B.A. in accounting and mathematics from Marietta College.
